- Normal/proportional/reverse brake modes (esp. reverse brake mode) can effectively shorten the landing distance for the aircraft. (Note: the FLYFUN 130A/160A-HV-OPTO-V5 doesn’t have this function.)

| | | Hobbywing Platinum Pro 120A Regler V5 3-8s, 10 A BECThe Platinum V5 120A is small, powerful and, like the other ESC in the Platinum V5 series, it is characterized by particularly efficient heat dissipation. As a flight controller, it feels right at home in electronic helicopters of size 420-520. But of course, due to its specifications, it can also be used in medium-sized fixed-wing aircrafts. The Platinum 120A V5 is equipped with a switchable BEC that can be set in the range 5 to 12 volts. In addition, the BEC also has a new anti-reverse circuit that can be used in parallel with external batteries, thus offering double protection. Compared to previous controller versions, the RPM accuracy algorithm also makes the Platinum 150A more powerful and reliable. The adjustable sensitivity for a constant speed enables every pilot to find a setting that suits their own flying style and the current flight conditions. | | | Two-sided hollow cooling structureThe two-sided structure of the circuit board has been re-designed to improve heat dissipation. The “open” design has allowed for better internal airflow circulation, resulting in a better cooling effect. Using thermal conductive tape and an additional heatsink would prolong the life and improves heat dissipation on the external capacitors. The thermal scale duct design has enhanced the cooling effect for the ESC to work cooler and more stable in the most extreme of conditions.

| | | Product information “Hobbywing Platinum Pro 180A HV ESC V5 5-14s, 10 A BEC” The Platinum V5 180A HV V5 is an extremely powerful ESC with 5-12V switch BEC suitable for 550-700 helicopters and fixed-wing. This is ensured by the built-in 32-bit processor in combination with a specially developed algorithm for RPM accuracy, which clearly sets the performance of the controller apart from similar controllers on the market. In addition to the algorithm, the Platinum V5 with 180A is equipped with various protocols that allow different transmitter systems to read the data from the ESC. These include, for example, the Mikado VBar system and Futaba S.BUS2. The modern advantages that the Platinum V5 brings with it are also evident in the structural design, such as the many protective functions to make the next flight as safe as possible. This includes protection against overheating of the actual controller but also the attached capacitors.
